Textbook & Academic Authors Association Announces 2021 Textbook Award Winners
Twenty-five textbooks have been awarded 2021 Textbook Awards by the Textbook & Academic Authors Association (TAA). Six textbooks received William Holmes McGuffey Longevity Awards, nine textbooks received Textbook Excellence Awards, and ten textbooks received Most Promising New Textbook Awards.
The awardees were recognized during an online textbook awards ceremony at 1 p.m. ET on Friday, March 19, 2021. The ceremony recording is now available below.
"African American Psychology: A Positive Psychology Perspective should win the Textbook Excellence Award for its role in helping to set the stage for scholars in all fields of psychology from community psychologists to social psychologists to advance the current movement of decolonizing curricula in the academe, as well as, helping to advance equity in academic publishing."
"Biopsychology by Martin Shapiro clearly merits the Most Promising New Textbook Award. It does an outstanding job of teaching very complex material through an appealing, relevant presentation for students."
