TAA Textbook Contract Review Grants Apply for a grant to cover the cost of hiring an intellectual property attorney to provide assistance in negotiating your first textbook contract. Members can apply for grants of up to $1,000 and non-members can apply for grants of up to $250. To qualify for the member grant amount, all authors of the textbook must be members. Grants are limited to first-time textbook authors who have been offered a publishing contract. TAA recommends hiring an intellectual property attorney specializing in the negotiation of textbook contracts. See TAA's Attorney Referral List (members only). How to Apply: Complete a Textbook Contract Review Grant Application and secure a letter from your publisher indicating that your textbook has been offered a contract (view letter template) and mail both to Richard Hull, Executive Director, TAA, PO Box 56359, St. Petersburg, FL 33732-6359 or email to [email protected] Join TAA today!
