Who We Are. The Textbook & Academic Authors Association (TAA) provides a wide range of professional development resources, events, and networking opportunities for textbook authors and authors of scholarly journal articles and books.
Academic Publication Grants
GRANT FUNDS HAVE BEEN EXHAUSTED FOR 2015. NO ADDITIONAL APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED THIS YEAR. For information on how to apply for 2016 grants, contact Michael Spinella at Michael.Spinella@TAAonline.net
TAA members can apply for a grant of up to $1,000 to offset expenses incurred in publishing already accepted print scholarly journal articles and academic books, including academic journal page costs or university press subventions; the cost of preparing artwork, charts, diagrams, or images to be included in accepted journal articles or academic books; and journal reprint costs. (Non-members can apply for grants of up to $250.)
Grant funds are also available for costs incurred by the author for textbook projects, provided the textbook is not realistically expected to yield royalties sufficient to recover the costs for which the grant is sought.
