Open access
journal to debut next month
The first issue
of "PLoS ONE", an international, peer-reviewed, open-access online publication
from the Public Library of Science (PLoS), will debut next month. PLoS
is a non-profit organization of scientists and physicians committed
to making the world's scientific and medical literature a freely available
public resource: www.plos.org
The journal is offering
a reduced publication fee ($750, rather than its $1,250 fee) for papers
submitted before the launch of the journal. Articles published by "PLoS
ONE" are immediately and freely available online. Copyright is retained
by the author.

information on how to avoid journal rejections; how to select a publisher
for an article based on a dissertation; how to approach a publisher
about publishing conference proceedings; what goes into a good book
