Open access journal to debut next month

The first issue of "PLoS ONE", an international, peer-reviewed, open-access online publication from the Public Library of Science (PLoS), will debut next month. PLoS is a non-profit organization of scientists and physicians committed to making the world's scientific and medical literature a freely available public resource: www.plos.org

The journal is offering a reduced publication fee ($750, rather than its $1,250 fee) for papers submitted before the launch of the journal. Articles published by "PLoS ONE" are immediately and freely available online. Copyright is retained by the author.
