TAA Member Al Shenk Shares Advice

In May, TAA member Al Shenk sent a message to the TAA Listserve asking if anyone could refer him to any published articles or other documents with advice about contracts for co-authors of textbooks. He shares some of the advice he received from other members: Paul Rosenzweig recommended the website of Ivan Hoffman, an attorney specializing in publishing http://www.ivanhoffman.com; Mike Timmons recommended two books (paper backs for about $21 each): Kirsch's Handbook of Publishing Law, by Jonathan Kirsch, 1995 ISBN # 0-918226-33-3, and Kirsch's Guide to the Book Contract, by Jonathan Kirsch, 1999 ISBN # 0-918226-35-X; several people referred him to authoring attorney Michael Lennie http://www.lennieliterary.com
