Plenty to do in San Antonio

Whether you want to remember the Alamo or just tour the River Walk, you should enjoy the TAA conference in San Antonio, billed as the Tex-Mex capital of the Lone Star state. This rich, multicultural city features a multi-media show at The Texas Adventure, a program which depicts the Alamo drama. During breaks in the conference, you might also want to stop at the Cowboy Museum and the 118-year-old Buckhorn Saloon. Or feast your eyes on the Victorian homes that line the streets of the King William Historic District. Or take a walk around Brackenridge Park with the wonderful Japanese Tea Gardens. Or take an open-air cruise down the San Antonio River, which winds through the heart of downtown. Or catch a lively, Latin-flavored show at the historic Arneson River Theater. And if you want to save some money during your TAA visit, contact the San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau for discount coupons to many restaurants, hotels, and attractions. The coups are worth more than $2,700. For a free visitor packet and brochure of coupons, call (800) 477-3372. Temperatures during late spring and early summer? High 60s to mid-80s.
