Christopher Stream, Associate Professor, Department of Public
Administration, University of Nevada, Las Vegas
Christopher
Stream is an associate professor in the Department of Public
Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).
He received his Master of Science degree in Political Science
in 1992 from Florida State University. He received his Doctor
of Philosophy in Public Administration and Policy from Florida
State in 1997.
Dr. Stream
conducts research on issues of public policy analysis and evaluation.
Stream's substantive research focuses on state health care reform,
local delivery of health care services, gaming policy, institutional
capacity and city management. He is the author of several articles
and has served as a policy consultant for a variety of government
and private organizations.
His research
has appeared in a variety of journals, including Public Administration
Review, Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory,
Political Research Quarterly, International Journal of Economic
Development and State and Local Government Review.
His latest textbook, "State and Local Government" (Wadsworth/Thomson
Learning) is now available.
Dr. Stream
teaches graduate courses in the general areas of intergovernmental
relations and public policy. Courses include Public Policy Analysis,
Program Evaluation, Research Design, Statistical Analysis, Intergovernmental
Relations, Local Politics and Administration, and State Health
Politics and Policy.
He has researched
the educational literature regarding the textbook adoption process
and has presented his research at the 2006 Text and Academic Authors
Association (TAA) Convention in Orlando.
