Mike Sullivan

Writing Mathematics Textbooks  

Moderator:
Mike Sullivan, Professor Emeritus of Mathematics at Chicago State University, and author of three precalculus series.

Discuss specific issues related to the writing and publishing of mathematics textbooks with Mike Sullivan, a math author with more than 30 years experience.

About the Moderator: 

Mike Sullivan is Professor Emeritus of Mathematics at Chicago State University published his first mathematics textbook in 1971. Since then, including revisions, he has written more than 90 textbooks. He currently has 15 books in print: 12 with Prentice Hall and three with John Wiley. Two of his series with Prentice Hall are coauthored with his son, Michael. Sullivan is a member of the Council of Fellows of TAA and has been awarded a Texty and a McGuffey award for two of his books. He is currently Treasurer of the TAA Foundation and the Immediate Past President of TAA.
