Sisters of the Academy Research BootCamp®: A Model for Writing Productivity Moderator: The Research BootCamp®, sponsored by Sisters of the Academy Institute, is intense, one-week program designed to support the development of graduate students’ dissertation research and to assist junior faculty further the preparation of manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals and other outlets. SOTA believes these goals will increase the completion rates of graduate students pursuing terminal degrees in their field and improve the likelihood that Black women will achieve tenure and promotion by assisting in the development of their scholarship. I will introduce you to SOTA, present an overview of the Research BootCamp® model, and share evaluation data collected from the three previous programs. About the Moderator: Tamara Bertrand Jones, Ph.D. conducts research and evaluation in Student Affairs at Florida State University. She is a founder of Sisters of the Academy and serves as Past-President of the organization. Back to Other Roundtable Topics
